SPEECH BY MR. PETER HINTERGEGGER, MEMBER OF THE BOARD AND CFO OF SIEMENS CROATIA

I am very happy to welcome you tonight in the name of Siemens Croatia and myself. Supporting young artists and modern art has always been very important for our company. Just few months ago we finished the Young Artist competition “Go Global” where around 150 artworks from all parts of Croatia applied to our competition and Siemens bought some of the works presented at the exhibition. The winner of the competition had been awarded the main prize - an exhibition supported by Siemens which has been held (from February 3rd till 17th of March) in the Blickensdorff Gallery in Berlin. This way Siemens provided an opportunity to the young Croatian artist to win recognition on the international art scene.

But today we are welcoming young artist into Croatia. It is a pleasure to welcome a photographer who is living and working in Brussels and, at the same time is employee of Siemens. We are very proud to have such unique co-workers, talented in many fields.

And, it is a particular pleasure to welcome Margit, my countrywoman, here in the city which accepted me so openly. I feel heartily welcomed and I just want the same for Margit. “Margit, enjoy your exhibition and your stay in Zagreb”.
